When it comes to butter, the best you can buy is butter from grass-fed animals like Kerrygold, or local. When it comes to tallow and lard, it´s the same; if the animal is fed GMO grains; not good. Grass-fed or organic; better.
I believe palm oil is okay for us but its harvesting methods are often problematic for nature and animals. Always buy Fair Trade and organic when it comes to palm oil, or just stick with butter and coconut oil.
I have already written about the benefits of coconut oil in a previous post and how you will want to eat it, use it as a make up remover or even a moisturizer. If you have dry hair take a tiny bit on your fingertips and massage it into your hair to help combat the dryness.
What about the popular olive oil? Olive oil is not as heat stable as butter and coconut oil so it’s much better used cold, and the same goes for avocado oil. But, if you want to eat chips once in a while I would buy chips with avocado oil before olive oil.
Now, what about that “69% of olive oils are probably fake statement.” When a product is hyped and becomes big business always be aware. Here you can educate yourself about olive oil and which brands to buy.
