I came across a new and interesting study the other day, and it reads:

Junk food makes rats lose appetite for balanced diet

A diet of junk food not only makes rats fat, but also reduces their appetite for novel foods, a preference that normally drives them to seek a balanced diet, reports a study. “The interesting thing about this finding is that if the same thing happens in humans, eating junk food may change our responses to signals associated with food rewards,” says an author. “It’s like you’ve just had ice cream for lunch, yet you still go and eat more when you hear the ice cream van come by.

The World Health Organization estimates that over 10% of the world’s adult population is obese and at least 2.8 million people die each year as a result of being overweight or obese. Overweight and obesity are major risk factors for a number of chronic diseases, including diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and cancer.

My years with Lyme disease (Borrelia burgdorferi)


You have probably guessed that it is Lyme disease (Borrelia burgdorferi), and co-infections I have, and wrote about in the previous post.

Lyme is spread primarily through the bite of a tic, and dears, mice, birds, and other small animals are hosts for the tics. Some researchers believe that some biting insects such as mosquitoes, fleas, biting flies, and lice may also transmit Lyme. March 26th 1984 – a sad day!

Thirty years ago, today, The Time Magazine looked like this:


This was a sad moment for the whole world because since then millions of lives have been wasted. We were told that saturated fat was bad for us and instead told to eat low fat products stuffed with sugar and chemicals and to use highly processed vegetable oils, which I have written about lately. We were also told to eat bread (I remember in Sweden we were told to eat 6 to 8 slices of bread each day), cereals, etc. that turn into sugar in our bodies. Yes, wheat and other grains turn into sugar in the body.

I think worst of all is seeing the “Heart Healthy” signs on these products that are filled with wheat and sugar and only serves to give us heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and obesity.

The lobbyists have done a good job for Big Food and Big Pharma!

This was the start of the obesity and diabetic epidemics. If you still don´t know what happened and why, this is a very important video for you to watch.

GAPS Diet – food is medicine

Last week I wrote about the biggest buzz at the moment, GAPS Diet and Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride. GAPS stands for Gut and Psychology Syndrome and is a way to heal the digestive system.

MS and other autoimmune diseases, allergies, schizophrenia, autism, ADHD, depression, diabetes type 1, arthritis, cancer, heart problems, epilepsy, skin conditions etc.; all can be treated, according to Dr. Campbell-McBride, just by following the GAPS diet for a limited time.
